Product revamp
First blood Pressure Monitor for the visually impaired
duration: Sept-November 2022
- 3rd year project
- engineer study of parts
- 80% of total grade weight
In this project, our group was tasked with analyzing a blood pressure monitor and creating an innovative solution for a new design that has not yet been introduced to the market. Each individual was responsible for creating their own unique product based on the analysis of the internal parts of the monitor. As part of this project, I chose to design a blood pressure monitor specifically tailored for visually impaired individuals. This innovative solution will address the needs of visually impaired individuals who may have difficulties reading the traditional displays found on conventional blood pressure monitors. To achieve this goal, I embarked on an individual path, conducting extensive research and exploring various options for the design of the new blood pressure monitor. Through this process, I identified the unique needs of visually impaired individuals, such as the need for an audio display, tactile features, and intuitive controls. In developing this new product, I employed state-of-the-art technologies to create an accessible and user-friendly blood pressure monitor. By creating a blood pressure monitor specifically designed for visually impaired individuals, we can improve their quality of life and empower them to take control of their own health.
